Plan by desk, not by truckload
The most useful document in an office move is a floor plan with numbers on it. Each desk at the new address gets a number. Each person gets a matching label for their crate, chair, drawer unit and screen. On move night, our crew does not need to ask whose monitor this is. It just goes to desk 14, and the morning goes smoother for everyone.
We work with whoever is running the move on your side, whether that is an office manager, an HR lead or a founder who also orders the coffee. One contact on each side keeps decisions fast, so nobody is forwarding the same question to twelve colleagues.
What we move, and how
- Workstations: desks taken apart where needed, chairs wrapped, personal items boxed by each staff member.
- Files and archives: packed in order, cartons numbered, so the 2019 accounts do not vanish into a mystery pile.
- Meeting rooms: long tables, glass whiteboards and the expensive chair the boss likes.
- Pantry and reception: fridges, coffee machines, sofas, and yes, that plant.
If you have servers or a large IT setup, tell us early. That part has its own plan, with careful cable labelling and a cut-over window that your IT people will want to sign off.
Timing around your business
Most companies would rather not lose a working day, so evenings and weekends are often the natural choice. Commercial towers tend to have their own rules about loading bays, goods lifts and permitted hours, so check with both building managements as soon as you can. Their answers often decide the whole schedule, and we would rather know on day one than the day before.
We can also move in stages. Finance moves one night, sales the next, with the crew working to your plan. This costs you a little patience, but it can reduce the risk during month-end or a busy season. Your written quote will show the plan you chose, so nobody is surprised later.
The first morning
A good office move ends quietly. People walk in, find their numbered desk, plug in and get on with things. Before we leave, we walk the floor with your contact to check furniture placement and any reassembled workstations, so small fixes get handled before staff arrive. There will always be someone asking where the stapler went. That one, unfortunately, is beyond what any moving company can solve. Across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah or any other emirate, the approach stays the same: clear labels, a calm crew and a Monday that looks like a normal Monday.
