Assembly is not only for moving day
You do not have to be moving house to need this service. Maybe you ordered a new bedroom set online and it arrived as a tower of flat boxes. Maybe a wardrobe needs to come apart because the new air-conditioning unit is going where it stands. Maybe a child has outgrown a cot and earned a real bed. We dismantle, install and reassemble furniture as a job in its own right, with or without a truck involved.
The things that usually go wrong
Self-assembly usually fails in very familiar ways. A back panel is put on inside out. A wardrobe door hangs slightly crooked and swings open at night, with some drama. A cam lock gets overtightened and cracks the chipboard. A bed creaks because one bolt never quite got home. None of this is hard to avoid, but it needs patience, the right tools and someone who has seen the mistake coming.
- Bedrooms: beds, sliding-door wardrobes, dressers and bunk beds, built square and steady.
- Living rooms: TV units, bookcases and modular sofas that need connecting.
- Children's rooms: cots, loft beds and storage, double-checked because children climb everything.
- Home offices: desks, shelving and cabinets, placed where your cables can actually reach.
Tall furniture and your walls
Tall wardrobes and bookcases can tip if pulled at the top, especially with small children around, so securing them to the wall is usually worth doing. Many manufacturers supply fixings for this reason. In a rented flat or tower, though, drilling may need permission, so check with your landlord or building management first. Tell us what the wall is made of if you know it, and what you have been told, and we will work it out with you before anything gets drilled.
Taking old pieces apart without ruining them
Dismantling deserves respect too. Furniture that has already been assembled once will not forgive being forced. We take it apart in a sensible order, and keep bolts and fittings in labelled bags attached to the right piece, so that the rebuild is simple, whether it happens today or after months in storage. Sliding doors and glass shelves get wrapped separately. Older pieces with worn threads get an honest warning before anybody starts, in case a replacement part is the smarter choice.
Send us a photo of the boxes or the product name, the number of pieces, and your location in any of the seven emirates. We will send a clear written quote before work begins. Then you can find something better to do with your weekend, like sitting on the sofa that we just built.
