IT Equipment Moving in Dubai & the UAE

IT Equipment Moving in Dubai & the UAE

Every Cable Labelled. Every Server Treated Like Royalty.

Your systems do not care that the new office looks lovely. They care about being unplugged in the right order and plugged back in the same way. We handle the physical move while your IT team keeps control of everything digital.

What you get

  • Matching labels on both cable ends
  • Photo record of racks and patch panels
  • Anti-static wrapping for servers and network gear
  • Screens and workstations grouped by desk
  • Weekend cut-over planned with your IT team

The line we do not cross

Let us be clear about who does what. We move hardware, and your IT team or vendor looks after data, shutdown procedures, backups and restarting services. Before any move, we ask them to confirm that backups have been done and tested, and to tell us which machines they want to shut down themselves. Moving a server safely is a physical skill. Bringing it back to life is theirs.

Labels, photos and anti-static care

The most expensive part of an IT move is often a tangle of cables at two in the morning, with nobody sure which port they came from. So every cable gets a matching label at both ends before it is unplugged. We photograph the back of each rack and each patch panel with your team, so there is a visual record to work from at the other end. It is not glamorous, but it is what makes a smooth restart possible.

  • Servers and network gear: anti-static wrapping and padded crates, moved upright as your technicians advise.
  • Racks: usually emptied before transport, with each unit's position recorded.
  • Workstations and monitors: screens protected on their faces, keyboards and docks grouped by desk number.
  • Printers and plotters: ink and toner arrangements checked with your supplier in advance.

The weekend cut-over

Most businesses want this done between closing time on the last working day and opening time on the next. That window drives the whole plan. A typical sequence looks like this: your IT team shuts systems down in order, we label, photograph, pack and move, then the kit is unpacked at the new server room and your team brings everything back up. Leave yourself room for the unexpected, because a network line at the new site that is not quite ready can change the whole night.

Do confirm in advance that the new space is actually ready, with power, cooling and connectivity all checked by your team. Then speak to building management about goods lifts and out-of-hours access at both addresses, as this is exactly the kind of job that happens when the building is quietest.

Summer heat and small details

Sensitive equipment should not sit in a hot truck or on a sunny loading bay in the UAE summer, so we keep the time between the building and the vehicle short and move during cooler hours where we can. Tell us about anything unusual, from a heavy UPS unit to a delicate piece of lab equipment. We will talk it through with your technical lead and put the plan in a clear written quote.

Questions about this service

Do you handle our data and backups?

No, and we think that is the right way round. Your IT team or vendor stays in charge of data, backups and system restarts, while we handle the labelling, packing and transport.

Can you move our servers over a weekend?

Yes, this is the usual approach, so please plan it with your IT lead. Check out-of-hours access with building management at both addresses before we fix the timing.

Should servers stay in the rack during the move?

Usually they are removed and packed separately, but follow your technicians' advice and the manufacturer's guidance. We record each unit's position, so your team can return it to the same slot.
